Knit these mittenettes
with Potluck Worsted Wool and you'll get some really cool color
changes! OR this pattern
can be knit with any worsted weight yarn. You can also follow this
pattern and add more stitches at the end to make a full mitten.

- Using US 7 dp and Potluck Wool, cast on 30 sts and divide evenly between 3
needles (10 sts each needle), mark beginning of round
- work k1, p1 ribbing for 12 rounds
- k 8 rounds
- k across next needle
- k across next needle, now move the marker from the beginning of the round to
the end of this needle. you will now call the next group of sts
"needle 1"
INCREASE ROUNDS
work each needle as follows:
round one
needle 1 - k to 2 sts from end, m1, k2
needle 2 - k1, m1, k to end
needle 3 - k across
round two
(and ALL even rounds)
needle 1 - k across
needle 2 - k across
needle 3 - k across
(odd rounds same as round one
for needles 1 and 3,
the only
change is to needle 2)
round three
needle 2 - k2, m1, k to end
round five
needle 2 - k3, m1, k to end
round seven
needle 2 - k4, m1, k to end

the ribbing just before the bend in your knuckles)

- move sts from holder onto 2 dp needles, distribute evenly (or 4 sts on one, 6
sts on the other so that you know where the beg of the round is)
- with another dp, pick up 4 sts along glove edge
- k 3 rounds (or as long as you want the thumb to be)
