This
felted purse is so much fun. Made thin, like "body
hugging" bags, it is big enough for anything you'll need on a day
out. Make it with or without the novelty yarn, although I would
have to recommend it with.
Using
leftover yarn, make the Tooth Fairy Pillow/Bag below!

| This
purse is knit on the angle, starting with 2sts and
increasing up to 24sts. Then working an increase along
one side, while decreasing along the other. The bag is
worked in one piece, then folded in half and sewn together.
You will most likely have
enough yarn for two of these bags.

Your knitted piece will look like this
-
After knitting with Potluck and Voila held
together, you end the double increase shaping.
Then starting with Potluck only, you work
increases along one side, while decreasing along
the other,
-
The only reverse stockinette shaping sections are
with Potluck and Papi yarn.

FELTING
-
I felted this bag for 40 minutes in a sink of hot
water. I like to felt in the sink because I
can see what's going on. In the washing
machine, you may need to felt for a shorter period
of time due to the amount of agitation compared to
sink felting. I recommend felting this
inside-out. |
