i bought some sock yarn for a 1949 hat pattern, and just had to knit something with it before i started the BIG project...

** i was inspired by Little Stitches yesterday..this is the result of that...i used a sock yarn for size US 2 needles, and knit the teeny handbag on US 1 so it would be a tighter knit...

** just big enough for three AA batteries...haha

** it has a very nice shape to it when it is standing up on its own

** above is a closeup of the copper wire i used for the handles....just weave the wire into the knit stitches

** i'll provide the pattern upon request if there is enough interest...just too lazy to type it up right now...i pretty much just knit a long rectangle for the body and did some shaping for the bottom so that it stands up on its own (reverse stockinette and then regular stockinette so it ended up a bit concave) ...then i knit some tiny rectangles for the sides...
